Unique purpose Life Coaching

Why Life coaching?
I always had a heart for people and a genuine desire to help them. I come from a family where both my parents were in healing professions, my father as a psychologist and my mother as a massage and sport massage therapist. So I guess helping other people runs in my genes.
Sometimes life takes unexpected turns and it took me years to find my true calling, although I believe every experience and life lesson contributes to enable me to be the best I can be today in my career.
I studied a general BA since at 18 I was not clear on what I wanted to do with my life.
I then went on to study a structured MA , got married and became a mom during my last year of studies.
After ten years of marriage and two children, my husband walked out on our family and I was left to fend for me and my young children.
To make ends meet, I continued to run my catering company and also got a job as a consultant chef at a five star guest house, since I have always been excellent at cooking and I could work hours that I could mould around my childrens’ schedules.
In the years that followed I did many interesting jobs to keep us afloat alongside my catering, like owning and running a juice, coffee and sushi bar in a gym and running a farm stall.
At the end of 2009 I moved my little family to Cape Town and started working as an HR manager for a domestic placement company. I enjoyed interacting with the
applicants and clients and interviewing them.
I also worked as an HR manager for a child care specialist company and this reinforced my desire to work with people. However, I realised that I wanted to work for myself again, with people and I felt especially drawn to serve others in the capacity of a mentor or a coach.
I started searching for the ideal position for me and got more and more interested in life coaching, since I love to make a real change for the better in other people’s lives and I love the positive and purposeful nature of the job. It was then that I found New Insights and followed the company online for a few years through reading the blog and journaling. The quality and consistency of the company impressed me and in February 2017 I started studying the Pro Life Coaching course through them. I truly believe I made the right choice and started my practice, Unique Purpose Life Coaching as soon as I qualified less than six months later.
I thoroughly enjoy helping others reach their potential, living enhanced and enriched lives in every area and seeing people living more purposeful and mindful lives as a result of life coaching.
